Heartbreaking news from Asenema as a HOWO 371 truck overturned near the Asenema Waterfalls along the Adukrom-Koforidua Highway, tragically resulting in the deaths of three male occupants trapped inside the vehicle.

Emergency Response and Rescue Efforts
Personnel from the Kong Municipal Fire Station promptly responded to the scene, performing extrication operations to free the victims. Sadly, all three individuals were pronounced dead on-site. Their bodies were subsequently handed over to the Police Motor Traffic and Transport Department (MTTD) and transported to the Tetteh-Quarshie Memorial Hospital morgue.
Road Safety Restored
The Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) crew worked diligently to clear the overturned truck and debris, ensuring the Adukrom-Koforidua Highway was safe for motorists once again. Authorities have reminded drivers to exercise caution on highways, especially near winding areas and waterfalls.
