The Comptroller-General of the Ghana Immigration Service, Samuel Basintale Amadu, together with members of the Service’s Management team, attended the 2026 State of the Nation Address (SONA) held at the Parliament House of Ghana in Accra.

The annual address, delivered before the House of Parliament of Ghana, brought together heads of security agencies, members of the diplomatic corps, traditional leaders, and key stakeholders from across the country. Mr. Amadu’s presence underscored the critical role the Ghana Immigration Service plays in safeguarding Ghana’s borders and supporting national security objectives.

In his address, President John Dramani Mahama outlined the government’s priorities for economic recovery, job creation, infrastructure expansion, and enhanced national security coordination. The Immigration Service remains a key partner in implementing border management reforms, migration control strategies, and international cooperation frameworks aimed at strengthening Ghana’s global standing.
