Despite his impressive pace and skill on the ball, Sulemana was singled out for wasting clear scoring opportunities by refusing to pass to better-positioned teammates. Many fans described his performance as “selfish,” arguing that his decision-making cost Ghana valuable chances in a match that could prove decisive in the qualification race.
Social media platforms erupted with reactions after the game, with several fans warning the young Southampton forward to “grow up” and put the team above personal glory. “Kamaldeen is talented, but his selfishness is killing our chances. He needs to wake up before it’s too late,” one frustrated supporter wrote.
With two crucial qualifiers left on the calendar, the Black Stars cannot afford slip-ups. Head coach Otto Addo is expected to address tactical discipline and teamwork as the team prepares for its upcoming fixtures.
Ghana’s qualification hopes remain alive, but fans insist that players like Sulemana must mature quickly and focus on collective success if the Black Stars are to secure a place at the World Cup.
