Nigeria’s National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has arrested Lagos socialite and luxury-goods dealer Afolabi Kazeem Michael, popularly known as “KC Luxury,” following the seizure of 184.5 kilogrammes of cocaine in Lagos.
The arrest forms part of an ongoing investigation into an alleged international cocaine trafficking network which authorities say used Nigeria as a transit route to the United Kingdom, Europe and Asia.

According to the NDLEA, the investigation began after operatives intercepted a consignment containing 184.5kg of cocaine concealed within a shipment being processed through a courier logistics channel in Lagos. The agency described the seizure as the largest cocaine haul recorded through a courier company in Nigeria.
NDLEA Chairman, Brig. Gen. Mohamed Buba Marwa (Rtd.), said investigators subsequently established links between the seized consignment and a wider network involving intermediary companies and individuals.
The agency estimates the seized cocaine had a potential street value of about ₦39 billion, with investigators alleging that the wider network moved cocaine from South America through Nigeria before onward distribution to international destinations.
Michael, known publicly as KC Luxury, was arrested on August 13, 2026, at the boarding gate of Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos. NDLEA said he was allegedly preparing to travel to Paris on a business-class flight.
At the time of his arrest, investigators reportedly recovered foreign and Nigerian currency as well as expensive jewellery from him.
NDLEA also arrested another suspect identified as Lawal Mujab Kehinde, a staff member of a logistics company allegedly connected to the shipment. The agency said investigations indicated that Kehinde allegedly assisted with the processing and movement of consignments linked to the suspected network.
Authorities further allege that KC Luxury operated publicly as a social media personality and businessman involved in gold, jewellery and luxury goods while allegedly coordinating the Nigerian side of the international trafficking operation.
The investigation has reportedly extended beyond Nigeria, with authorities examining suspected links to individuals and operations in other countries, including the United Kingdom.
NDLEA officials have warned that courier and logistics channels will not be allowed to become safe routes for international drug trafficking and said investigations are continuing to identify other alleged members and financial facilitators connected to the network.
The allegations against KC Luxury and the other suspects remain subject to due process, and they are presumed innocent unless proven guilty by a court of competent jurisdiction.
