Wife of Canadian rapper Nav was left in shock after discovering during divorce proceedings that her husband’s fortune—reportedly over $5 million—is entirely registered under his mother’s name.
Having dated Nav for 10 years before their marriage, she assumed she knew all about his finances. However, the court revealed that all gifts she received, including clothes, jewelry, a car, wigs, and other accessories, were legally owned by Nav’s mother. Consequently, she had to return everything.
Nav’s mother confirmed that all purchases were intended for her son, leaving his wife with no claim to his assets. The case has sparked amusement online, with social media users jokingly calling it a graduation from the “University of Hakimology.”
The incident underscores the importance of legal clarity and verification of assets in marriage.
