8 miners have reportedly “passed on” after a clash between miners and soldiers at the Obuasi Mines

As Obuasi is globally known for its gold mining industry, 2025 didn’t quite start very well for inhabitants. It’s known to the public there’s an ongoing battle between miners and soldiers deployed in the area to stop miners from their operations.
