Bishop Herman College has earned a place in the quarter-finals of the 2024 National Science & Maths Quiz, narrowly defeating Konongo Odumase SHS by a single point.
The intense contest saw Bishop Herman College finish with 49 points, while Konongo Odumase trailed at 48 points. Wallahs Academy completed the contest with 26 points.
Quiz Mistress, Dr. Mrs. Gladys Odey Schwinger, welcomed the participants and wished them luck during the opening of the One-eighth round.
The contest was competitive, with the Prudential Life Insurance Speed Race showcasing a close battle between Bishop Herman College and Konongo Odumase SHS.
Though Wallahs Academy lagged early, they made a significant comeback in the Jupay Money Transfer True/False round, earning applause for correctly answering all their questions.
However, it was Bishop Herman’s final riddle answer in the GOIL Riddle Bonanza that sealed their victory.
The final scores were:
