I thought social media was the devil’s playground – Piesie Esther

Renowned Ghanaian gospel artist Piesie Esther has made a shocking revelation about her initial perception of social media.

In an exclusive interview with Adom FM, Esther admitted that when social media first gained popularity, she believed it was the brainchild of ‘Maame Water’ (a mythical water spirit in Ghanaian folklore), synonymous with darkness and evil.

“I thought social media was a tool of the underworld,” Esther confessed. “The negative stories surrounding it only reinforced my fears. But, as I educated myself, I discovered the numerous benefits of social media.”

Esther’s epiphany transformed her skepticism into enthusiasm. She now recognizes social media’s potential to amplify her ministry and business.

“Times have changed, and our perception of social media must evolve,” Esther emphasized. “It’s now an indispensable tool for spreading the gospel and connecting with our audience.”

As Esther prepares for her highly anticipated ‘Made By Grace’ concert on November 3, 2024, at the Accra International Conference Centre, she’s harnessing social media’s power to reach a wider audience.

Joining Esther on stage will be an array of talented artistes, including Amy Newman, Nana Yaw Asare, Ohemaa Mercy, Ceccy Twum, Perez Musik, and Sammy Baah.
