Pep Clotet, manager of Italian Serie C team Triestina, made headlines after a fierce touchline confrontation with his player, Raimonds Krollis. The clash followed Krollis’s early exit after a red card for violent conduct just 33 minutes into the match against Giana Erminio.
Clotet, visibly frustrated, grabbed and pushed Krollis as he left the field, emphasizing his disappointment.
Unapologetic, Clotet stated he would not allow the 23-year-old, currently on loan from Serie B’s Spezia, to play again. This strong stance came after Krollis’s actions left Triestina short-handed, contributing to their eventual 1-0 loss.
With only one win in 14 games, Triestina remains at the bottom of the Serie C standings, intensifying tensions within the team.
