Stonebwoy, the acclaimed Reggae-Dancehall artist, has clarified remarks about his self-funded BHIM concert held in December 2023.
His comments had sparked debates after he stated that no artiste in his class had managed to sell out the Accra Sports Stadium without sponsorship.
Speaking on Hitz FM, Stonebwoy explained his remarks were a direct response to industry manager Gomski, who described Dancehall as problematic for Ghanaian music. Stonebwoy countered this by highlighting Dancehall’s economic contributions, including boosting tourism and creating jobs during major events.
“I stand by my claim—it’s clear and documented. Dancehall fills stadiums and impacts the economy. My achievements are undeniable, and industry politics shouldn’t overshadow the facts,” he emphasized.
Stonebwoy urged fans and stakeholders to focus on the positive impact of his work rather than succumbing to bias or controversies.
