Kumawood actor and entertainer Kwadwo Nkansah, popularly known as Lilwin, has stirred the conversation with his recent claims about his footballing prowess.
During an interview with Kwame Tanko on Lawson FM, Lilwin asserted that he possesses significant football talent, which has attracted attention from major Ghanaian clubs like Kotoko, Hearts, and Bechem Chelsea.
However, he mentioned that he has not signed with any team for personal reasons. Lilwin went further to claim that he was offered a football salary quadrupling what Asamoah Gyan, the former captain of Ghana’s Black Stars, was reportedly earning.
This bold statement has ignited a significant amount of debate across social and traditional media platforms, with skepticism regarding the authenticity of these claims.
While there is no direct evidence or corroboration from the clubs mentioned or from past reports linking Lilwin to professional football contracts, his transition to sports isn’t entirely new.
Lilwin had previously signed a two-year contract to play for Division One League side New Edubiase United in 2021, serving both as a player and club ambassador. However, specifics on his performance and salary details from that stint remain largely anecdotal.
