Ghanaian event planner and singer, Afua Asantewaa, known for her relentless attempt at breaking the Guinness World Record (GWR) for the longest individual singing marathon, is preparing for another challenge.
After her disqualification in 2023 during a five-day singathon, she is determined to try again this December in Kumasi.
In an interview with Akoma FM, Afua revealed that she has received clearance from GWR to proceed with a new singathon.
Her team is conducting feasibility studies to identify the best location for the event, aiming to engage a local audience and reinforce her role as a tourism ambassador.
Despite her previous setback, Afua remains optimistic, stating, “The fact that I was not successful in my first attempt shouldn’t be a barrier to my quest of becoming a Guinness World record holder.”
