Ghanaian midfielder Augustine Boakye has shared his heartfelt aspiration to play for the Black Stars, deeming it a dream come true. Although he wasn’t selected for the latest squad, Boakye remains hopeful about his prospects with the national team.
In an interview with Flashscore, he reflected on the honor of representing Ghana but stressed a patient approach. “I’m from Ghana, so it would be a dream to play for the country, but I am not going to force it,” he stated. His priority lies in excelling at the club level, noting that opportunities may arise unexpectedly.
Boakye also draws inspiration from former international Sulley Muntari, whose legacy motivates him to strive for greatness on and off the field. The young midfielder is poised to make his mark whenever the chance comes.
