Albert Quansah, a Bolt driver, has gained admiration for an extraordinary act of honesty. A passenger, Seme Kor, mistakenly transferred GHS 38,600 to Quansah instead of her business partner. Panicked, she contacted him, expecting a difficult situation.
However, Quansah had already been trying to reach her, even returning to where he had dropped her off, hoping to find her.
Quansah transferred GHS 15,000 to the correct recipient but reached his daily transaction limit. He then handed Kor his phone and mobile money details to complete the transfer, assuring her he’d retrieve his phone the next day.
Impressed by his honesty, Kor offered him GHS 700 as a token of appreciation. The story quickly went viral, with many calling for Bolt to acknowledge his integrity.
While some praised his sincerity, others questioned the authenticity of the story due to the large sum involved. Despite these doubts, Quansah’s actions highlight the value of honesty in Ghanaian society, where integrity is deeply embedded in cultural norms.
