The Accra Sports Stadium has been confirmed as the venue for Ghana’s crucial Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier against Sudan on 11th October 2024, following approval by the Confederation of African Football (CAF).
CAF’s inspection team visited the stadium last month, alongside Cape Coast Sports Stadium, and gave their green light after reviewing the facilities.
This came as a relief after Baba Yara Stadium’s recent disqualification from hosting international matches.
The Black Stars will face their former coach Kwesi Appiah, who now manages Sudan. With high stakes, Ghana’s team, led by Coach Otto Addo, is determined to secure their first win in the 2025 AFCON Qualifiers.
