Chef Smith detained shortly after announcing his “Cook-A-Thon” Guiness World Record.

Ghanamedia.net closely observed the situation and found out that, a report by Asaase Radio reveals Chef Smith was detained over allegations of defrauding Amadia Shopping Mall, one of the sponsors of his cooking marathon, of approximately GHC 350,000.

The Cook-A-Thon even took place at the premises of the Shopping Center.

Guinness World Records has declined to issue a press statement, as Chef Smith is not recognized in their official records.

Shocking revelations have also emerged that Chef Smith’s recent “Guinness World Record” for the longest cookathon may be a fabrication. According to a reliable source within Guinness World Records, Chef Smith never applied for the record in the first place, and the plaque he displayed was self-printed.
