Ghanaian musician Chief One has boldly stated that he was the first artist to introduce Amapiano to Ghana.
Speaking on Daybreak Hitz with Andy Dosty, he insisted that his first Amapiano song was released on August 17, 2021, and dismissed claims that producer Appietus had already experimented with the genre in 5Five’s Mujebaya.
Chief One explained that his unique sound fuses Amapiano with the Ewe Kinka rhythm, making his style distinct.
He is currently promoting his new song, Megbe (I Decline).
