Quodarkie Creator Awards founder Emmanuel Jackson is turning his personal experience with social media into a platform designed to recognise African creators, digital personalities and emerging talents across Africa and the diaspora.

Emmanuel Jackson, founder of the Quodarkie Creator Awards.

Born in Bremen, Germany, the Quodarkie Creator Awards is built around a simple but ambitious philosophy: “Excellence Beyond Borders.” The initiative seeks to recognise the creativity, consistency, influence, originality and positive contributions of people building communities and inspiring audiences through digital media.

From Social Media to a Bigger Vision

For Jackson, the idea behind Quodarkie began long before the concept of an awards ceremony. His inspiration came from spending time on social media and discovering that digital platforms could offer far more than entertainment.

Through the content he encountered, Jackson says he became motivated, learned new things and was exposed to different ideas, experiences and perspectives. Digital media broadened his understanding of the world and showed him how creators could educate, entertain, inspire and influence people they might never meet personally.

“Social media motivated me and taught me things I didn’t know before. It broadened my scope and my understanding of reality.”

That experience eventually led him to ask a bigger question: Who is recognising the people behind this content?

According to the profile, Jackson recognised that creators can spend countless hours developing ideas, producing videos, educating audiences, building communities and entertaining thousands of people, while emerging African and diaspora creators may not always receive recognition beyond their online audiences.

The Birth of Quodarkie

That idea became the foundation of the Quodarkie Creator Awards.

Established in Bremen, Quodarkie was conceived as more than an awards night. Jackson’s ambition is to build a platform where different forms of digital achievement can be recognised, including creativity, consistency, influence, originality and positive contribution.

The philosophy deliberately extends beyond geographical boundaries. An African creator based in Ghana, Germany or elsewhere in Europe may operate in a different environment and reach different audiences, but digital media allows their work to cross borders almost instantly.

Jackson’s vision for Quodarkie is centred on recognising digital creativity across borders.

That philosophy is captured in the identity at the heart of the initiative: “Excellence Beyond Borders.”

Building Something From the Ground Up

Turning the concept into a functioning awards platform has required more than creating a name. Quodarkie has developed categories recognising different forms of achievement across the creator community, including emerging and influential creators, educational content, creativity, social impact, diaspora achievement, entertainment and other areas of digital excellence.

The project has also grown to include public nominations, voting, partnerships, media collaborations and preparations for a physical awards ceremony.

For Jackson, building Quodarkie has itself become a learning experience. The same digital environment that initially motivated him to learn has now inspired him to create a platform capable of recognising the people producing that inspiration for others.

It represents a transition from consumer to creator, and from observer to founder.

Bremen Meets African Creativity

The next major milestone is scheduled for 7 November 2026, when the Quodarkie Creator Awards is expected to bring nominees, creators, entertainers, partners and supporters together in Bremen, Germany.

The event is intended to connect African creativity with the diaspora and reflect the increasingly interconnected nature of digital culture.

A creator can publish content in Accra and have it watched in Bremen, London, Amsterdam and beyond within minutes. Quodarkie aims to reflect that reality by creating a platform where recognition can cross the same borders that digital content already crosses.

The awards are therefore intended to communicate more than the presentation of a trophy: they are designed to tell creators that their work has been noticed.

Quodarkie aims to connect African creativity with audiences and communities across the diaspora.

Recognition Beyond Winning

Another important part of Jackson’s vision is that recognition should extend beyond simply announcing winners.

According to the profile, Quodarkie aims to provide winners with trophies, citations, commemorative souvenirs, digital winner badges, media exposure and opportunities to tell their stories.

The broader ambition is to create a community around the awards where recognition can develop into relationships, collaborations and future opportunities.

The Creator of the Year distinction is also intended to carry an additional dimension, with the recipient having an opportunity to become a Quodarkie Ambassador in 2027, subject to a separate agreement.

The Man Behind the Vision

Behind the developing Quodarkie brand is a founder whose own journey began with learning from digital creators.

Jackson does not frame his inspiration as coming from already knowing everything about the creator industry. Instead, his story began with discovering something new. Social media expanded his perspective, while creators introduced him to information, experiences and ideas that changed how he viewed the digital world.

“Sometimes someone creates a piece of content without knowing the impact it will have on another person’s life.”

That experience ultimately inspired Jackson to transform his appreciation for digital creators into a platform for recognising them.

Looking Beyond 2026

The 2026 ceremony is described as a beginning rather than an endpoint.

Jackson’s longer-term vision is for Quodarkie to develop its identity, strengthen relationships with creators and partners, expand its reach and continue building a credible platform for recognising talent across borders.

Building a new awards platform inevitably requires experimentation, organisation, partnerships and a willingness to improve. For Jackson, that willingness to learn is also where the Quodarkie story began.

A man encountered content online. He learned. He discovered new perspectives. He became inspired. His understanding of the digital world expanded. He developed a vision.

From that vision came a platform designed to turn appreciation into recognition.
