After watching the highly anticipated film, “The Groomsmen,” we are excited to endorse this project and rate it highly! We at Ghana Media were privileged to receive an invitation to the maiden premiere of the movie at the Silverbird Cinemas, Accra Mall.
The movie begins with a very catchy curtain raiser, something that immediately grabs attention. “The Groomsmen” is a film about two lovers who have decided to take their relationship to the next level by getting married. In the groom’s quest to learn everything he can about his bride-to-be, he invites all her exes over to tell him more about her.
The storyline of the movie is extraordinary and uncommon. The idea, which initially most characters saw as ‘stupid’, turns out to be the best thing the groom ever did.
There are many lessons to be learned from this masterpiece. One should never try to trigger the past. Although we all do things that may seem foolish in hindsight, it’s important to realise that those mistakes have led us to where we are today.
We should strive to lead good lives, as our actions are important and can affect us in the future. We should be very careful with every step we take in life.
One thing we at Ghana Media can commend the creators of this amazing work for is how they represented Ghana in the project. Ghanaian songs were played back to back throughout the movie.
This also serves as a way to promote Ghanaian culture in a tremendous way. Traditional settings were utilised, and the wedding itself was done in the Ghanaian way. Their ability to blend indigenous Ghanaian culture with modern lifestyle is truly noteworthy.
