Acclaimed actress and film producer Yvonne Nelson has opened up about the numerous hurdles she faced while establishing her educational institutions. Nelson described the arduous path she navigated, marked by significant financial challenges and a lack of external funding.
In her candid interview with EDHUB on X, Nelson detailed how the initial phase of her school project was fraught with difficulties. “We’ve just launched the primary school, and this is only the first step,” she explained.
“The journey has been incredibly demanding. To finance the project, I had to sell my home because the bank loan terms were unfeasible. Although it was a difficult decision, I knew it was necessary.
I had many cherished memories in that house, but I had to part with it to fund the construction. Even then, the money soon ran out, forcing me to dip into my personal savings to keep the project moving forward.”
