The Ghana Police Service has launched a manhunt for Patricia Osei Boateng, the wife of suspected armed robbery leader known as Duku, over her alleged involvement in a string of violent robberies across the country.
Police Confirm Duku Shot Dead After Robbery Operation
According to police sources, Duku was shot and killed during a gunfight with security officers following a robbery incident connected to the death of Mr. Amankwa, the father-in-law of National Democratic Congress Communications Officer Sammy Gyamfi

Authorities say the confrontation occurred after intelligence-led operations tracked the robbery gang’s movements, leading to an exchange of fire in which Duku was fatally wounded.
Patricia Allegedly Posed as Nurse to Evade Arrest
Investigators believe Patricia Osei Boateng played an active support role in the gang’s activities. Police allege that she sometimes disguised herself as a nurse in order to bypass police checkpoints and avoid detection during operations.
Security officials further claim that she assisted in logistics and concealment efforts following several robbery attacks.
Reported Travels to Dubai Under Investigation
Police intelligence also suggests that Patricia reportedly traveled to Dubai after some of the alleged robberies, raising suspicions of possible attempts to evade law enforcement or conceal proceeds from criminal activity.
Authorities are currently working with international partners to verify travel records and assess whether further cross-border investigations will be required.
Public Urged to Assist Police
The Ghana Police Service is urging members of the public with credible information about Patricia Osei Boateng’s whereabouts to report immediately to the nearest police station. Officials emphasize that anyone found aiding or concealing a suspect will face legal consequences.
Investigations remain ongoing as police intensify efforts to dismantle any remaining network linked to the deceased robbery suspect.
