Ghanaian famous comedy star C Confion has gone to be with the LORD

Ghana’s vibrant comedy scene is dimmed today by the passing of Bright Owusu, the beloved actor known by fans as C Confion. 

News of his passing on December 20, 2024, spread quickly, leaving colleagues and fans heartbroken.

C Confion, a rising star who shone brightly as part of Dr. Likee’s (Akabenezer) comedy series, had been battling a critical illness.

Just days prior, on December 18th, Akabenezer Productions released a statement confirming C Confion was receiving treatment at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital. The statement, while acknowledging the seriousness of his condition, also expressed hope and requested prayers from fans.

While the particular cause of death remains unknown, C Confion’s sudden passing has undoubtedly left a void in the he arts of many. His talent and comedic timing brought laughter and joy to audiences.
