Ghana’s Chef Smith celebrates GWR cook-a-thon win (video)

Ghanaian culinary maestro Chef Smith has made history by clinching a remarkable achievement, officially acknowledged by Guinness World Records (GWR) for the longest cook-a-thon ever recorded.

During a press event held in Accra on July 2nd, 2024, Chef Smith proudly unveiled his Guinness World Record certificate.

Setting a new standard, he cooked continuously for an astounding 802 hours and 25 minutes, surpassing the previous record of 119 hours and 57 minutes held by Alan Fisher of Ireland.

Starting his epic culinary journey on February 1st, 2024, Chef Smith dedicated an impressive 820 hours to his marathon cooking session, concluding on March 6th, 2024. His ambition extended beyond mere record-breaking, aiming to showcase his culinary artistry on a global scale.

This achievement not only cements Chef Smith’s legacy in the annals of culinary history but also highlights his unwavering commitment and expertise in pushing the boundaries of culinary innovation.
