One person has been confirmed dead while six others are battling for their lives following a series of road accidents along the Gomoa Fetteh stretch in the Gomoa East District of Ghana’s Central Region.
The deceased has been identified as 23-year-old Elvis Antwi, a resident of Agona Kwesi-Twikrom. According to reports, he died after his motorbike collided with a commercial Urvan vehicle with registration number GN 4754-19 near Hope Village Hospital.

Eyewitnesses say the crash occurred suddenly, leaving little room for either driver to react. The impact reportedly caused severe injuries, leading to the tragic death of the young motorcyclist.
In a worrying development, six other individuals were critically injured in separate accidents along the same stretch. These incidents reportedly occurred as the victims were heading toward the beach, raising fresh concerns about safety on the busy coastal road.
A driver identified as Seth Kpeye, who witnessed one of the crashes, described the situation as chaotic. He noted that the collision happened unexpectedly, leaving several people injured within moments.
The Gomoa Fetteh stretch has increasingly become a hotspot for road accidents, with residents and commuters calling for urgent intervention to improve safety measures.
