Foreign journalists, media outlets, writers and bloggers can submit work for the 2026 Honest View International Media Award until October 4, with six categories available.
The call for entries remains open for the 5th International Media Award “Honest View”, an international competition organised by Rossotrudnichestvo for foreign journalists, media outlets, writers and bloggers covering Russia.
According to the award organisers, submissions for the 2026 edition will remain open until October 4, 2026. The competition recognises journalistic and digital work covering Russia and international cooperation involving the country.
The 2026 competition features six categories, including the Grand Prix for contribution to objective coverage of Russia, the best story on economic and social partnership, culture and traditions, genre journalism, a New Voice category for young journalists, and Digital Recognition for the best social-media project about Russia.

The New Voice category is specifically aimed at young journalists aged 18 to 25.
International participation
The award has expanded significantly since its launch.
In 2022, the competition attracted 118 journalists from 28 countries. By 2025, the number had risen to 821 entries from 75 countries, according to the organisers.
Winners have included journalists and bloggers from Europe, Asia, Africa, the Middle East and Latin America, reflecting the competition’s growing international reach.
GhanaMedia.net continues to expand its international coverage through its international news coverage, global Ghanaian and diaspora reporting and broader media and journalism coverage.
Finalists to travel to Moscow
The 2026 finalists and award recipients are expected to be invited to Moscow in November for an educational media school and the awards ceremony.
The competition’s published conditions state that eligible works must have been published between November 26, 2025 and October 4, 2026.
September press conference
A press conference concerning the anniversary edition was held on September 2 at the Rossiya Segodnya International Multimedia Press Center.
Irada Zeynalova, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to Mauritius, addressed the importance of encouraging audiences to view Russia beyond stereotypes.
Rossotrudnichestvo head Igor Chayka also highlighted the substantial growth in entries since the award was launched.

Foreign journalists, media organisations, writers and bloggers interested in participating can review the competition requirements and submit their work through the official Honest View Media Award website.
The deadline for entries is October 4, 2026.
