Kanayo expressed his frustration over wealthy men showering female actors with money, creating an impression that their male peers are not putting in enough effort despite their dedication.
During a recent episode of the podcast “The Honest Bunch,” co-hosted by Husband Material and Deity Cole, Kanayo shared his views.
“Many affluent Nigerian men favor our women and provide them with benefits, making it seem like we are not working hard,” he lamented.
“These wealthy men often spend lavishly on our women to the point that it impoverishes us. When a woman asks for financial support for a production, demanding N100 million to N150 million, they oblige. But if it’s me, KOK, they tell me to ‘go and work hard.'”
He continued, “We need to address this issue. Have you ever seen a woman ask for financial help for medical expenses? It’s always the men. We are becoming an endangered species.”
Kanayo, 62, also shared his ambition to remain active in the film industry until he reaches 90, revealing his aspirations in a preview of an upcoming episode of “The Honest Bunch” podcast.
