The quarter-final stage of the National Science & Maths Quiz (NSMQ) saw Keta Senior High Technical School (SHTS) defeat Achimota School, last year’s finalist, securing a spot in the semi-finals with 54 points.
Competing against Mpraeso SHS and Achimota School, Keta SHTS dominated from the start, led by standout contestant Perpetual Gakpetor.
Despite challenging rounds, including the Prudential Life Insurance Speed Race and the GOIL Riddle Bonanza, Keta SHTS held firm. Achimota trailed with 42 points, while Mpraeso SHS ended with 21 points.
The victory earned Keta SHTS the Pepsodent Highest Scorer Award, adding GH₵4,000 to their winnings.
Keta’s exceptional performance promises more excitement in the semi-finals of the NSMQ.
