Ghanaian singer Mzbel has firmly stated she has no plans to ever marry, emphasizing that her peace of mind is far more important than dealing with the public scrutiny that often accompanies celebrity marriages. In an interview with Fiifi Pratt on Kingdom FM, Mzbel shared her thoughts on marriage and reflected on her past relationships.
Despite her numerous romantic involvements, Mzbel has no interest in walking down the aisle. “Marriage isn’t for me, even though I’ve been in several relationships,” she mentioned. “I’ve dated multiple men, and some have even given me rings. The ring I wear now was given by my partner when I had our child. It’s not a promise ring but a symbol of our long-term commitment.”
Mzbel explained her stance further, noting that preserving her peace of mind is paramount. She referred to other celebrities who, after marrying, faced heightened public scrutiny and societal pressure.
“It’s not about not wanting to marry right now. I don’t ever want to get married. I value my peace of mind above all. If I find someone who genuinely loves me and wants to be with me forever, we don’t need a wedding or a public declaration,” she stated.
