Uwuigbe’s remains were deposited at the Oriaifo Memorial Hospital mortuary, according to police. As of the reports reviewed, authorities had not announced a definitive cause of death, and no official finding had established that an alleged sexual encounter caused it.

Ambrose Alli University confirmed that Uwuigbe was a member of its academic staff. The institution said the incident occurred away from the university campus and clarified that the woman reportedly involved was not a student of the institution.

The case has attracted attention online, where some graphics and posts have presented the circumstances in sensational terms. However, unverified claims about a person’s final moments should not be treated as established facts while police inquiries are ongoing.

The investigation is expected to clarify the events leading to the lecturer’s death and whether any offence occurred. Until further official information is released, the cause of death and any individual responsibility should remain matters for investigators to establish.
