Ibrahim Oppong Kwarteng, the CEO of Crime Check Foundation, recently disclosed that actress Nana Ama McBrown will be sponsoring the release of 47 prisoners as part of her 47th birthday celebration on August 15, 2024.
This charitable initiative is aimed at giving a fresh start to those behind bars. Kwarteng shared this news in a widely circulated video, expressing admiration for McBrown’s compassion:
“As Nana Ama McBrown approaches her 47th birthday, she has committed to securing the freedom of 47 inmates. I believe this act of kindness will inspire many and draw prayers her way.”
The video, which features Kwarteng at Akuse Prison—one of the facilities that will benefit from McBrown’s gesture—highlights the impact of her support.
He also reflected on the biblical call to care for prisoners, noting, “The Bible encourages us to reach out to those in prison, uplift them, and share hope, because life behind bars is extremely challenging.”
