A 15-year-old girl who was previously reported missing in Kasoa Buduburam Rose Estates in the Central Region has been found. Constance Mensah disappeared after receiving punishment for returning home late from a haircut.
On August 9, 2024, she was located near the Kasoa station, accompanied by a woman who had been providing her with shelter. A cadet trainer recognized her and notified both her school and the police, leading to an investigation into her claims of being a school dropout.
Upon being brought to the police station for questioning, Constance initially resisted cooperating. However, she later confided in a senior CID officer, revealing that a classmate and a relative had influenced her decision to leave home.
She explained that they had invited her to join them for a festival in their hometown and instructed her to keep the trip a secret, which prompted her to pack a few belongings and leave without her family’s knowledge.
