Ghanaian rapper M.anifest recently spoke on the hurdles faced by artists in the country’s music industry.
In an interview with DJ Slim, he explained that raw talent alone isn’t enough to gain support.
Support often comes when people see the financial potential in an artist, he said.
M.anifest also highlighted the gap between Ghana’s music industry and other creative fields, stressing that while other sectors are progressing, music lags behind.
He concluded that creatives must adopt a more business-focused approach to develop a sustainable and lucrative industry.
