Old social media videos of Inés García, the reported girlfriend of Spanish football sensation Lamine Yamal, have resurfaced online and quickly gone viral following Spain’s FIFA World Cup victory.
The clips, which are being widely shared across Facebook, X, TikTok and Instagram, allegedly show García making remarks during an earlier period when Yamal was reportedly linked with Argentine singer Nicki Nicole.
In one of the circulating videos, García is quoted as saying: “If he wasn’t a millionaire or a footballer, Nicki Nicole wouldn’t have looked at him twice.” Another resurfaced clip allegedly shows her being asked to choose between Lamine Yamal and Jude Bellingham, to which she responds, “Bellingham.”
The authenticity and context of the videos have become the subject of intense debate online, with many users questioning when they were recorded and whether they accurately reflect García’s current views.
The renewed attention comes shortly after Yamal helped Spain lift the FIFA World Cup trophy and publicly celebrated with García, confirming their relationship after months of speculation. Since then, the Spanish influencer has attracted millions of new followers while facing intense scrutiny on social media.
According to recent reports, García has also spoken publicly about receiving hundreds of thousands of hateful messages following the circulation of old clips and rumours surrounding her past. She urged people to show empathy instead of spreading online abuse.
As discussions continue across social media, many fans have called for caution, noting that short viral clips often lack full context and should not automatically be treated as an accurate reflection of someone’s present opinions.
