Nigerian singer Oxlade recently shared that he feels more appreciated in Ghana than in his home country.
In an interview, he opened up about the immense support he receives from Ghanaians, which, according to him, surpasses what he gets in Nigeria.
Oxlade explained his decision to feature Ghanaian rap legend Sarkodie on his debut album, Oxlade from Africa.
He also addressed past frustrations he voiced on social media, revealing that he had faced boycotts and manipulation attempts from some figures in the Nigerian music industry.
“If I’m being honest, Ghana has shown me more love than Nigeria,” Oxlade stated, adding that he resents how some in the industry try to control others’ careers.
