Plymouth Argyle manager Wayne Rooney is excited to welcome back English-Ghanaian midfielder Darko Gyabi for another season.
The club confirmed on Tuesday that Gyabi has rejoined them on a season-long loan from Leeds United.
“Darko Gyabi is back with Argyle,” the club announced. “The 20-year-old midfielder will spend his second loan spell with us from Leeds United.”
Rooney praised Gyabi’s skills and alignment with the team’s playing style. “I received outstanding feedback about Darko from his previous time here,” Rooney said. “After observing him closely, I was eager to bring him back.
He is the ideal midfielder—skilled, powerful, and athletic. He fits perfectly into our style of play.”
The former England star expressed his enthusiasm, saying, “With the squad returning for pre-season this week, I am thrilled to have Darko back with the team.”
Gyabi is eager to build on his past experiences and contribute significantly to Plymouth Argyle’s success in the upcoming season.
