Justine Agbenu’s grandmother, the victim of the East Legon misadventure, has expressed her disappointment following the court’s sentencing of Bishop Salifu Amoako’s teenage son.
The boy, who caused the accident, was handed a six-month sentence at the Senior Correctional Centre.
In a viral video, the elderly woman accused the 16-year-old of lacking remorse, especially after pleading not guilty to all charges, including driving without a license. She lamented, “If you can do this and still plead not guilty, then you have no empathy.”
Social media users have reacted strongly, with many criticizing the perceived leniency of the verdict. The tragic accident claimed the lives of two teenage girls, including Justine Agbenu and her close friend Maame Dwomoh, leaving their families devastated.
