In an explosive interview on the Rants, Bants, and Confession podcast, dancehall icon Shatta Wale dropped a bombshell: he had amassed a staggering GH¢750,000 by the tender age of 14!
The On God hitmaker attributed his financial fortune to his wealthy father, who spoiled him rotten with foreign currency for daily expenses.
“As a rich kid, I started saving at 14,” Shatta Wale shared. “I cleverly convinced Prudential Bank I was 18, and they bought it!”
With his father footing the bill for all his needs, Shatta Wale lived a life of luxury. “I didn’t need to buy anything; my dad had me covered. I even drove to the bank once without his knowledge!”
However, Shatta Wale’s rags-to-riches tale took a shocking turn. When he faced financial hardship later in life, he couldn’t access his saved funds. “I forgot about the money until after my Bandana days. By then, the bank claimed my name wasn’t in the system, and I lost it all!”
Shatta Wale’s astonishing claim has sparked both awe and skepticism. Was he truly a teenage millionaire, or is this a clever publicity stunt? Watch the full interview to decide for yourself!
