In an electrifying showdown at the SGS Auditorium, Tamale Senior High School (SHS) triumphed over strong contenders, including St. John’s School and Accra Academy, in the Quarter-finals of the 2024 National Science & Maths Quiz.
Against the odds, Tamale SHS secured a remarkable 40 points, edging out St. John’s School with 38 points and leaving Accra Academy behind at 32 points.
St. John’s School showcased their prowess in the Prudential Life Insurance Speed Race, captivating the audience with rapid-fire answers.
However, the atmosphere shifted during Round Three, the “Problem of the Day,” where students faced a challenging math problem. Here, St. John’s emerged victorious, scoring six points.
Despite St. John’s strong performance, a crucial moment arose in the final round when Ahmed of Tamale SHS answered a pivotal riddle, shifting momentum and ensuring their advancement to the Semi-finals.
The contest highlighted the competitive spirit and teamwork among schools, with Tamale SHS celebrating their hard-fought victory, eager for the challenges ahead.
