Gospel musician and preacher Sonnie Badu has emotionally revealed that his parents narrowly escaped death after their family house was destroyed by fire in a shocking incident that occurred while they were asleep.

In a heartfelt Instagram post, Sonnie Badu disclosed that he had experienced a vivid dream about a house engulfed in flames days before the incident happened. According to him, the dream prompted him to repeatedly caution his wife about the dangers of fire and protecting their children.
However, the award-winning musician later realized that the burning house in his dream was actually his parents’ home.
Parents Escape Fire While Sleeping
Sonnie Badu explained that his Tuesday sermon was interrupted after he received several missed calls from his father’s phone. When he returned the call, his mother emotionally thanked God for sparing their lives.
He said his parents informed him that their home had suddenly caught fire while they were asleep. The exact cause of the fire remains unknown.
The devastating blaze reportedly destroyed a house filled with over two decades of memories and personal belongings.
“The house, which held over 20 years of memories, was reduced to ashes,” Sonnie Badu wrote.
Sonnie Badu Pledges To Rebuild Family Home
Despite the heartbreaking loss, Sonnie Badu expressed gratitude that no lives were lost and vowed to rebuild the house within six months.
The “Money Declaration” singer also appealed to Ghana’s top architects and builders to support the rebuilding process.
“I’m counting on the best architects and builders in Ghana to help me make this happen,” he stated.
