Faith Must Be Matched With Wisdom, Not Ignorance, Says Avram Moshe
Renowned social commentator Avram Moshe has sparked widespread debate across social media with a bold statement urging Africans to rethink their approach to faith, development, and self-reliance.
“Africa, wake up! Prayer without action gets you nowhere. Faith needs wisdom, not ignorance. Stop importing everything!” Moshe declared.
According to him, while prayer and faith remain important pillars in African societies, overdependence on spirituality without practical action has slowed the continent’s progress. He argued that genuine faith should inspire innovation, discipline, education, and productivity, not passivity.
Moshe criticized Africa’s heavy reliance on imported goods, services, and even ideas, describing it as a form of modern dependency that weakens local economies. He stressed that Africa has the human resources, creativity, and raw materials needed to thrive if intentional action is taken.
