The Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA) has officially showcased its innovative Tourism Passport during the Ghana House Exhibition in Glasgow, reinforcing efforts to promote Ghana as Africa’s preferred tourism destination.

The presentation was made by Abeiku Santana on behalf of the Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Tourism Authority, Hon. Maame Efua Houadjeto, to Her Excellency Mrs. Sabah Zita Benson, Ghana’s High Commissioner to the United Kingdom and Ireland.

The symbolic presentation took place at Ghana House in Glasgow as part of activities highlighting Ghana’s participation in international events and promoting the country’s rich tourism potential.

According to the Ghana Tourism Authority, the Tourism Passport is an innovative initiative designed to showcase Ghana’s diverse tourist attractions, cultural heritage, festivals, hospitality industry, and investment opportunities in one comprehensive guide. The initiative seeks to make Destination Ghana more accessible to visitors while encouraging greater global engagement.

The Authority noted that the Tourism Passport reflects its commitment to strengthening strategic partnerships, promoting innovation, and positioning Ghana as Africa’s leading tourism destination.

The presentation also underscored the continued collaboration between Ghana’s diplomatic missions and tourism stakeholders in advancing the country’s international image and attracting more visitors and investors.
