During its “Facts Behind the Figures” engagement with the Ghana Stock Exchange, the company reported that profit before tax increased significantly to GHS 67 million from GHS 24 million during the same period last year. Return on equity also improved from 23% to 33%, reflecting stronger profitability and improved operational efficiency.

Lending income grew by 35% to GHS 308 million, driven by higher loan disbursements and improved funding margins. Mobile lending remained the company’s primary growth engine, recording GHS 5.0 billion in disbursements during the first half of the year, while the gross loan book reached GHS 1.2 billion.

The company also strengthened its balance sheet, with total assets rising to GHS 1.9 billion and customer deposits increasing to GHS 834 million. Its capital adequacy ratio stood at 20.2%, comfortably above regulatory requirements, providing a strong foundation for future expansion.

Chief Finance Officer Daisy O. Adjei-Boadi said the results demonstrate the strength of Letshego Ghana’s long-term strategy, resilient business model and commitment to sustainable growth while strengthening the balance sheet and expanding financial inclusion.

Beyond its financial performance, Letshego Ghana continued to expand access to credit for individuals, women entrepreneurs and micro and small enterprises. The company also piloted group lending initiatives for women and increased financing for clean energy and green mobility projects as part of its Environmental, Social and Governance priorities.

Looking ahead, Letshego Ghana plans to accelerate digital lending, introduce its QwikSave retail savings product, strengthen collections and portfolio quality, and continue preparations toward a potential transition into a microfinance bank, subject to regulatory approvals.

Chief Executive Officer Nii Amankra Tetteh expressed confidence in the company’s outlook, stating that Letshego Ghana remains focused on delivering profitable and responsible growth while creating long-term value for customers, employees, shareholders and communities across Ghana.
