The forum, held in Accra on October 1, 2026, formed part of MTN Ghana’s broader efforts to support digital skills development, responsible technology adoption and collaboration within Ghana’s creator ecosystem.

MTN Ghana engages more than 50 bloggers

The initiative provided bloggers and digital creators with an opportunity to engage MTN Ghana executives and industry professionals on emerging technologies and trends shaping the digital landscape.

Welcoming participants, Chief Corporate Services and Sustainability Officer of MTN Ghana, Adwoa Wiafe, said the company valued its relationship with the blogging community and recognised the role content creators play in informing and engaging the public.

She said the forum was designed to create meaningful engagement between MTN Ghana and bloggers while allowing participants to exchange perspectives, discuss industry developments and explore opportunities within the changing digital environment.

AI takes centre stage

Artificial intelligence was a major focus of the forum, with participants introduced to practical ways AI tools can support their daily work.

Senior Manager for Digital Analytics and Monetisation at MTN Ghana, Kwame Manu, discussed the development of AI and how content creators can use the technology for research, trend identification, idea generation and productivity.

Manu, however, cautioned bloggers to verify information generated by AI tools because such systems can sometimes produce inaccurate information.

He also encouraged creators to retain their individual voices and judgement when using AI, stressing the importance of providing appropriate instructions and context when working with AI systems.

Bloggers introduced to agentic AI

The session also introduced participants to the concept of agentic AI, referring to emerging artificial intelligence systems capable of carrying out sequences of tasks with limited human intervention.

The discussion highlighted the potential for AI to become a productivity tool for creators while reinforcing the need for human oversight, verification and editorial judgement.

Participants were also encouraged to use technology to enhance their work without losing originality, authenticity and their individual perspectives.

Content creation as a business

Senior Manager, MTN Home, Dorinda Bruce-Acquah, addressed opportunities in the changing world of work and encouraged bloggers to approach their platforms as businesses.

She urged creators to identify clear areas of focus, develop loyal communities and continuously improve their skills.

Bruce-Acquah also highlighted MTN Home’s Fibre and Fixed Wireless Access services as connectivity options for creators working from home or requiring reliable internet access for their professional activities.

MoMo opportunities for creators

The forum also featured a presentation from Isaac Agyenim Boateng, Trade Marketing Coordinator at MobileMoney Fintech LTD.

He introduced participants to opportunities and features available to creators through the MoMo app and encouraged bloggers to explore relevant services and offers available on the platform.

Cybersecurity and protecting digital platforms

Cybersecurity formed another important part of the engagement, with Fatawu Sanie Siba, Senior Digital Account Manager at Innova DDB Ghana, sharing practical guidance on protecting social media accounts and digital platforms.

He also discussed how content creators can navigate relationships with corporate brands while maintaining professionalism and protecting their digital interests.

The cybersecurity discussion comes as content creators increasingly depend on social media platforms and digital accounts to build audiences, generate revenue and engage businesses.

MTN Ghana reaffirms support for bloggers

Ag. Senior Manager for Corporate Communications, Efua Falconer, reaffirmed MTN Ghana’s commitment to stakeholder engagement and assured members of the New Media Association of the company’s continued collaboration and support.

President of the New Media Association of Ghana, Eugene Osafo-Nkansah, welcomed the initiative and encouraged bloggers to apply the knowledge and perspectives gained from the forum to improve their work.

Part of Ghana’s evolving digital economy

The engagement comes as Ghana’s digital economy continues to expand, creating new opportunities for content creators, entrepreneurs and technology professionals.

MTN Ghana has identified digital transformation and connectivity as important elements of its long-term strategy. The company is marking 30 years of operations in Ghana in 2026 under the theme “30 Years of Progress, Powered by You.”

MTN Ghana said its anniversary activities reflect its broader focus on connectivity, digital innovation, skills development and creating opportunities for individuals and communities.

For bloggers and digital creators, the forum provided an opportunity to explore how artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, connectivity, personal branding and digital platforms can contribute to sustainable participation in Ghana’s digital economy.

As technology continues to reshape the media and content landscape, the discussions around responsible AI use, cybersecurity, originality and professional brand relationships are expected to remain relevant to Ghana’s growing creator community.
