Ghanaian Dancehall Star Praised for Rare Support During Difficult Moment

Nigerian content creator and social media personality Peller has revealed that Shatta Wale was the only celebrity who reached out to him while he was in police custody during his recent troubles.

Speaking emotionally in a viral video that has since sparked conversations across social media, Peller opened up about the period he described as one of the darkest moments of his life. According to him, despite his popularity and connections within the entertainment space, most people he expected support from stayed silent.

Peller explained that while he was being held by the police following a controversial personal incident, only Ghana’s dancehall heavyweight Shatta Wale took the initiative to call and check on his wellbeing. The gesture, he said, meant more to him than words could express.

“When I was in the cell, only Shatta Wale called me. Nobody else,” Peller stated.

The TikTok star praised Shatta Wale for his empathy, noting that the musician encouraged him to stay strong, refocus, and not allow the situation to destroy his future. Peller said the call gave him hope at a time when he felt abandoned and misunderstood.

The revelation has since triggered widespread reactions online, with many fans applauding Shatta Wale for showing compassion beyond borders. Supporters described the musician as someone who understands struggle and does not turn his back on others in their lowest moments.
