Sefadzi Abena Amesu, popularly known as Sefa, recently addressed misconceptions about secular music and faith during an interview on Asaase 995’s Rush Hour with Elvis Crystal.
The Ghanaian music star stressed that creating secular music doesn’t mean abandoning one’s belief in God or spirituality.
“Doing secular music doesn’t mean we don’t believe in God,” Sefa shared, highlighting that faith is a personal journey. She explained that spirituality is about the heart and not necessarily public displays of faith.
Reflecting on her career, Sefa revealed that she took time off to focus on self-care, admitting that she had to reconnect with her true self. Her latest track, “All Over,” featuring Camido, marks her return to music, balancing her personal growth with her artistry.
