Ghanaian gospel singer Empress Gifty has shared the significant challenges she and fellow gospel artists face before releasing spiritually uplifting songs.
During an interview on Adom FM’s Ofie Kwanso, the award-winning artist disclosed that spiritual attacks are a common hurdle they experience, especially when creating music that brings hope and inspiration.
“Sometimes, the challenges are intense before a song is released because it will touch lives or bring miracles. You need to be spiritually strong and grounded,” Empress Gifty revealed.
The Awiey3 Pa singer emphasized how these attacks are not just emotional or physical but are often aimed at derailing the message behind the music. She also noted that such challenges can deeply affect artists, sometimes causing them to forget lyrics or lose focus on promoting their music.
According to her, this is why some gospel artists withdraw from public interviews after releasing new songs, as they struggle to balance spiritual and financial pressures during the creative process.
