The collaboration marks a major milestone for the 15-year-old Hennessy Cypher platform. For the first time, two Francophone African artists — Tenor and Suspect 95 — feature in the same edition, while Tenor becomes the first Cameroonian artist to appear in the Cypher.

For Ghana, the inclusion of Kwesi Arthur further places the country’s hip-hop movement at the centre of a continental collaboration designed to showcase different rap cultures, languages, flows and perspectives.

Produced by Sarz, the Cypher brings together artists representing Ghana, Cameroon, Côte d’Ivoire, Kenya, South Africa and the United Kingdom, creating a broad musical exchange between Anglophone and Francophone scenes.

The accompanying visual was filmed in Johannesburg, South Africa, and presents the artists in a cinematic setting while retaining the performance-driven identity traditionally associated with the Cypher.

For Kwesi Arthur, the collaboration adds another international chapter to a career that has seen him become one of Ghana’s recognised contemporary hip-hop and Afrofusion voices.

The Hennessy Cypher was first launched in Nigeria in 2011 and has developed into an international platform for African hip-hop, previously featuring artists including M.anifest, Sarkodie, Ladipoe, Octopizzo and others.

The 2026 edition continues that tradition while placing greater emphasis on the diversity and global reach of contemporary African rap.

Hennessy Cypher 2026 is now available to audiences worldwide, with Kwesi Arthur representing Ghana on one of the year’s most notable cross-border hip-hop collaborations.

Pastor Found Dead in Guest Room After Night Out With Married Female Worshipper

A pastor has reportedly been found dead in a guest room following an alleged night out with a married female worshipper, in a developing story that has sparked widespread discussion online.

“THERE’S A FOOD PANDEMIC COMING — FOOD WILL GET ROTTEN VERY FAST” — PROPHET TELVIN ADJEI SOWAH

According to information circulating alongside images from the incident, the pastor had reportedly spent time with the woman before he was later found dead in the guest room.

Images circulating on social media show what appears to be a body being transported in the back of a pickup vehicle, while another image shows individuals at the scene of the reported incident.

However, details surrounding the circumstances of the pastor’s death remain unclear. It has not yet been independently established what caused his death, when exactly the incident occurred, or whether the reported relationship between the pastor and the married worshipper had any connection to his death.

GhanaMedia.net is treating the report with caution as further details are awaited. The identities of the individuals involved and the precise location of the incident have also not been independently confirmed at the time of publication.

The report has nevertheless generated significant reactions online, with social media users calling for credible information about what happened before and after the pastor was found.

Any confirmed statement from the police, family members, church authorities or other credible sources will help establish the facts surrounding the incident.

GhanaMedia.net will continue to follow the developing story and provide updates as verified information becomes available.

Prophet Telvin Adjei Sowah Warns of Impending “Food Pandemic” in Ghana

Accra, Ghana — Prophet Telvin Adjei Sowah has issued a fresh warning about what he describes as an impending “food pandemic,” claiming that food could begin spoiling unusually quickly.

In a circulating video, the founder of Prophetic Life Embassy is heard warning that “food will get rotten very fast”, urging people to pay attention to what he described as a coming food-related crisis.

img 3757
Prophet Telvin Adjei Sowah Warns of Impending “Food Pandemic” in Ghana 5

The remarks have generated conversations online, particularly because they touch on food availability, preservation and household costs.

GhanaMedia.net has verified the source material and the attribution of the statement to Prophet Telvin Adjei Sowah. However, the claim itself remains a prophetic warning and has not been independently established as a scientific forecast or official food-safety alert.

Prophet Telvin Adjei Sowah has previously attracted public attention for a series of widely discussed prophecies concerning Ghanaian politics, the economy and sporting events. Recent media reports have documented several of his public predictions and warnings.

The latest warning has therefore prompted renewed discussion about the role of prophetic declarations in Ghana’s public discourse and whether the prediction could have any connection to wider concerns about food security and preservation.

It is important to distinguish the prophecy from established food-safety information. Food can spoil rapidly under unsuitable temperature, storage and handling conditions, and Ghana has previously experienced significant food losses linked to spoilage.

For now, there is no verified evidence that Ghana is facing a “food pandemic” as described in the prophecy.

GhanaMedia.net will continue to monitor developments and provide updates if credible scientific, government or food-industry information emerges concerning the warning.

Police Pickup Carrying Suspects Crashes Into Trotro on KNUST Campus, Several Injured

KUMASI, Ghana — Several people have reportedly sustained injuries after a Ghana Police Service pickup transporting suspects was involved in a crash with a commercial trotro on the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) campus.

Video footage circulating online shows the police pickup colliding with the trotro at an intersection on the university campus.

The footage appears to show the police vehicle travelling through the junction before the collision with the commercial vehicle. Images and video circulating after the incident show significant damage to the vehicles.

Initial reports indicate that the police pickup was carrying suspects at the time of the crash.

The exact number of people injured, their conditions and whether any of the suspects sustained injuries remain unclear.

The incident has attracted significant attention online, with social-media users sharing CCTV footage believed to have captured the moment of impact.

KNUST has a dedicated security structure that includes patrol, traffic-control and response functions, while the university also liaises with the Ghana Police Service on security matters.

As of publication, GhanaMedia.net has not independently established the identities of those involved or received an official police statement confirming the circumstances surrounding the crash.

Further details, including the cause of the collision and the condition of those injured, are expected as authorities continue their assessment.

GhanaMedia.net will update this report when verified information becomes available.

BREAKING: Kessben Reportedly Dies at 69 as Ghana’s Business and Media Community Mourns

Screenshot

Ghana’s business and media community has been thrown into mourning following reports that renowned businessman, lawyer and media entrepreneur Stephen Boateng, popularly known as Kwabena Kesse or Kessben, has died.

Reports of Kessben’s death began circulating on Thursday, August 20, 2026, triggering an outpouring of tributes from members of the public, business associates and personalities across Ghana.

img 3745
BREAKING: Kessben Reportedly Dies at 69 as Ghana’s Business and Media Community Mourns 9

Kessben was the founder of the Kessben Group of Companies and became one of the most recognisable business figures in the Ashanti Region, building interests across media, education, hospitality, travel, logistics and financial services.

He was particularly known for establishing the Kessben media brand, which includes Kessben FM, Kessben TV and Aseda TV, and for his significant contribution to Ghana’s broadcasting industry.

Beyond media, his business interests included Kessben Travel and Tours, Kessben Driving School, Kessben Computer School, Kessben Shipping and Forwarding, Fosua Hotel & Conference Centre, Kessben University College, Kessben Consult and the Kessben Foundation.

Kessben was also a trained lawyer and was widely known publicly as Lawyer Stephen Boateng after being called to the Ghana Bar.

His business journey was marked by both major achievements and challenges. Over the years, he built a reputation as an entrepreneur who invested heavily in businesses and institutions serving communities across Ghana.

He was also associated with philanthropic initiatives through the Kessben Outreach Foundation, which supported vulnerable individuals and families with medical and other forms of assistance.

While reports of his death have been widely circulated by Ghanaian media organisations and social media platforms, the cause of death has not yet been publicly disclosed.

At the time of publication, reports indicated that an official statement from his family or the management of Kessben Media had not yet been released. GhanaMedia.net is therefore treating the death as reported pending formal confirmation from the family or authorised representatives.

Kessben’s reported passing comes after a recent public appearance in Kumasi, where he was seen attending funeral rites earlier this year. Footage from that appearance has since resurfaced following the reports of his death.

His reported death represents a major moment for Ghana’s business and media landscape, particularly in the Ashanti Region, where he built much of his commercial and philanthropic legacy.

GhanaMedia.net will continue to follow the story and provide updates as official details emerge.

NDLEA Arrests ‘KC Luxury’ After 184.5kg Cocaine Seizure in Alleged ₦39bn Drug Network

Nigeria’s National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has arrested Lagos socialite and luxury-goods dealer Afolabi Kazeem Michael, popularly known as “KC Luxury,” following the seizure of 184.5 kilogrammes of cocaine in Lagos.

The arrest forms part of an ongoing investigation into an alleged international cocaine trafficking network which authorities say used Nigeria as a transit route to the United Kingdom, Europe and Asia.

img 3737
NDLEA Arrests ‘KC Luxury’ After 184.5kg Cocaine Seizure in Alleged ₦39bn Drug Network 11

According to the NDLEA, the investigation began after operatives intercepted a consignment containing 184.5kg of cocaine concealed within a shipment being processed through a courier logistics channel in Lagos. The agency described the seizure as the largest cocaine haul recorded through a courier company in Nigeria.

NDLEA Chairman, Brig. Gen. Mohamed Buba Marwa (Rtd.), said investigators subsequently established links between the seized consignment and a wider network involving intermediary companies and individuals.

The agency estimates the seized cocaine had a potential street value of about ₦39 billion, with investigators alleging that the wider network moved cocaine from South America through Nigeria before onward distribution to international destinations.

Michael, known publicly as KC Luxury, was arrested on August 13, 2026, at the boarding gate of Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos. NDLEA said he was allegedly preparing to travel to Paris on a business-class flight.

At the time of his arrest, investigators reportedly recovered foreign and Nigerian currency as well as expensive jewellery from him.

NDLEA also arrested another suspect identified as Lawal Mujab Kehinde, a staff member of a logistics company allegedly connected to the shipment. The agency said investigations indicated that Kehinde allegedly assisted with the processing and movement of consignments linked to the suspected network.

Authorities further allege that KC Luxury operated publicly as a social media personality and businessman involved in gold, jewellery and luxury goods while allegedly coordinating the Nigerian side of the international trafficking operation.

The investigation has reportedly extended beyond Nigeria, with authorities examining suspected links to individuals and operations in other countries, including the United Kingdom.

NDLEA officials have warned that courier and logistics channels will not be allowed to become safe routes for international drug trafficking and said investigations are continuing to identify other alleged members and financial facilitators connected to the network.

The allegations against KC Luxury and the other suspects remain subject to due process, and they are presumed innocent unless proven guilty by a court of competent jurisdiction.

GhanaMedia.net will continue to monitor developments as the NDLEA investigation progresses.

Owusu Bempah Claims Chairman Wontumi Took $500,000 From Him And A Friend Over Unfulfilled Promise

Screenshot

Rev. Isaac Owusu Bempah has made a fresh allegation involving businessman and NPP figure Bernard Antwi Boasiako, popularly known as Chairman Wontumi, claiming that Wontumi took $500,000 from him and a friend but failed to deliver on what he had promised.

The claim is contained in a statement circulating online and has triggered renewed discussion about the relationship between the outspoken preacher and the Ashanti-based political and business figure.

img 3690
Owusu Bempah Claims Chairman Wontumi Took $500,000 From Him And A Friend Over Unfulfilled Promise 13

Owusu Bempah’s $500,000 Claim

According to the claim attributed to Rev. Owusu Bempah, Chairman Wontumi allegedly received $500,000 from the preacher and another person in connection with a promise that he was expected to fulfil.

Owusu Bempah is quoted as saying that Wontumi “took $500,000 from my friend and me” but failed to do what he had promised.

The allegation has not, however, been independently established by GhanaMedia.net, and the circumstances surrounding the alleged payment and promise remain unclear from the material currently circulating.

Why The Claim Is Generating Attention

The allegation has attracted attention because both Owusu Bempah and Wontumi are prominent figures in Ghana’s public sphere, with their activities regularly generating significant discussion among political, religious and social commentators.

Wontumi is a well-known Ghanaian businessman and political figure who has served as a senior NPP figure in the Ashanti Region, while Owusu Bempah is a prominent Christian preacher and founder of Glorious Word Power Ministries International.

The two men have also crossed paths publicly over the years. In 2021, Wontumi commented publicly on the circumstances surrounding Owusu Bempah’s arrest, describing the matter as stemming from a dispute involving the preacher and another former associate.

What Remains Unclear

At this stage, the precise purpose for which the alleged $500,000 was paid, the identity of the other person said to have contributed the money, and the specific promise allegedly made by Wontumi have not been independently established in the available reporting reviewed by GhanaMedia.net.

There is also no verified response from Chairman Wontumi contained in the material reviewed for this report directly addressing the specific $500,000 allegation.

GhanaMedia.net therefore presents the claim as an allegation attributed to Rev. Owusu Bempah and does not state as fact that Chairman Wontumi took the money or failed to fulfil a contractual or other obligation.

Wontumi Remains A Major Political Figure

Chairman Wontumi has remained one of the most recognisable figures within Ghana’s New Patriotic Party, particularly in the Ashanti Region. His political commentary, business activities and media appearances have frequently attracted national attention.

Owusu Bempah, meanwhile, has remained a prominent voice within Ghana’s Christian community. He has appeared at major Christian programmes and events, including programmes reported by mainstream Ghanaian media.

More Questions Could Follow

The resurfaced allegation is likely to generate further discussion if either Wontumi or the other individuals reportedly connected to the alleged transaction provides additional details.

For now, the central claim remains that Owusu Bempah says $500,000 was taken from him and a friend in connection with a promise he says was not fulfilled.

GhanaMedia.net will continue to distinguish between verified facts, public statements and allegations as more information becomes available.

Davido–Wande Coal Feud Takes New Turn As Old Video Linked To Faith Nketsi Resurfaces Online

The escalating public fallout between Nigerian music stars Davido and Wande Coal has taken another unexpected turn after an older video involving South African media personality Faith Nketsi resurfaced online amid their heated social-media exchange.

The development comes as the two Afrobeats stars remain locked in a public dispute over an unreleased collaboration linked to Wande Coal’s 2021 hit song Come My Way.

How The Davido And Wande Coal Dispute Started

The latest controversy began after Davido discussed the history behind his unreleased collaboration with Wande Coal during a recent interview.

Davido said Wande Coal approached him for a verse for Come My Way and that he recorded his contribution. According to Davido’s account, the disagreement later centred on how the collaboration would be released, with Wande reportedly intending to release the original song before putting Davido’s contribution on a remix.

img 3668

Wande Coal subsequently challenged Davido’s version of events on X, leading to a rapidly escalating exchange between the two musicians. Multiple entertainment outlets have reported that the disagreement eventually moved beyond the song and became personal.

Davido And Wande Coal Exchange Personal Shots

What initially appeared to be a disagreement over music quickly turned into a public social-media clash, with both artistes exchanging provocative remarks.

Davido’s response included a personal jab at Wande Coal, while Wande Coal fired back with a similarly personal response. The exchange attracted thousands of reactions from fans, with supporters of both artistes joining the debate online.

Old Faith Nketsi Video Resurfaces

Amid the escalating feud, an older video involving Davido and South African media personality Faith Nketsi has resurfaced online.

The video has been shared by social-media users and supporters following the dispute, with some attempting to connect its circulation to the ongoing disagreement between Davido and Wande Coal.

However, the circumstances surrounding the private-looking footage and the reason it has resurfaced should not be presented as established fact. GhanaMedia.net has not independently verified the original circumstances in which the video was recorded, nor will this report reproduce or direct readers to intimate material.

Current reporting confirms that the video is circulating amid the feud, but claims about what it proves or why it was released remain allegations and social-media speculation.

Who Is Faith Nketsi?

Faith Nketsi is a South African media personality, influencer and entrepreneur who has been publicly associated with Davido for years.

Reports linking the pair date back to at least 2014, when Nigerian entertainment media reported on rumours surrounding their relationship. Davido denied dating Nketsi at the time.

The Feud Is Bigger Than The Resurfaced Video

While the resurfaced video has become a major talking point online, the central issue behind the current controversy remains the disagreement over the unreleased Come My Way collaboration.

Wande Coal released Come My Way as a solo single in October 2021, and the song later became part of his Legend or No Legend era. A version containing a Davido contribution had generated interest among fans, but the collaboration was never officially released.

Davido has now publicly explained his side of why the collaboration did not happen, while Wande Coal has rejected aspects of that account. Their disagreement has subsequently evolved into one of the most discussed entertainment stories on Nigerian social media this week.

Fans Continue To Take Sides

The dispute has divided fans, with some arguing that the disagreement should have remained a private industry matter while others have continued dissecting every post and response from the two artistes.

The resurfacing of the Faith Nketsi video has added another layer to the online conversation, but it is important to separate verified developments from speculation generated by social-media users.

For now, neither the circulation of the footage nor the online reactions surrounding it establishes any wrongdoing connected to Davido. The verified development is that an older video has resurfaced at the same time as his public dispute with Wande Coal.

GhanaMedia.net Verification

GhanaMedia.net has verified the current Davido–Wande Coal dispute and reports confirming the resurfacing of an older video involving Faith Nketsi.

However, the publication does not independently verify claims about the private circumstances depicted in the video or allegations being made by social-media users around it. Readers should therefore treat those elements as unverified claims rather than established facts.

The underlying dispute over the unreleased Come My Way collaboration, meanwhile, is supported by multiple current entertainment reports documenting the public exchange between Davido and Wande Coal.

Duncan-Williams’ ‘I Went To Heaven For 1 Hour 45 Minutes’ Testimony Resurfaces And Sparks Debate

Screenshot

A remarkable testimony by Archbishop Nicholas Duncan-Williams claiming that he was taken out of his body and spent one hour and 45 minutes in Heaven has resurfaced online, reigniting debate among Ghanaians over his extraordinary spiritual experience.

The testimony, which has circulated widely on social media, was originally reported by Ghanaian media in February 2024 after a video from one of the Archbishop’s church services attracted significant attention online.

img 3662
Duncan-Williams’ ‘I Went To Heaven For 1 Hour 45 Minutes’ Testimony Resurfaces And Sparks Debate 17

‘I Went To Heaven For 1 Hour 45 Minutes’

In the circulating video, Archbishop Duncan-Williams recounts what he describes as a supernatural experience in which he was taken out of his body and transported to Heaven.

“When I went to Heaven… I went to Heaven for 1 hour 45 minutes,” the Archbishop is heard saying in the video. He further describes being taken by an angel to a high mountain where, according to his account, the grass looked like diamonds.

Ghanaian media outlets including GhPage, YEN.com.gh and CoverGhana reported on the testimony in February 2024. GhPage YEN.com.gh

What Duncan-Williams Said He Saw

According to the account, the spiritual journey lasted approximately 105 minutes. During the experience, he said an angel guided him through different places and eventually took him to a high mountain.

The Archbishop described the grass on the mountain as resembling diamonds, among other extraordinary details from what he presented as a supernatural encounter.

He also said the angel asked whether he recognised anyone among the people he encountered, after which he identified Elder Sackey, whom he described as one of his mentors during his time with the Pentecostal Church.

Testimony Sparks Debate Again

The resurfacing of the testimony has once again generated discussion about supernatural encounters, visions and personal experiences within Christian ministry.

Some Christians have received the account as a testimony of a profound spiritual encounter, while others have questioned how such an experience can be independently verified.

The debate is particularly intense because experiences involving Heaven and the afterlife are matters of faith and personal testimony rather than events that can ordinarily be established through conventional scientific verification.

Who Is Archbishop Nicholas Duncan-Williams?

Archbishop Nicholas Duncan-Williams is the founder and Presiding Archbishop of United Denominations of Action Chapel International (UDACI), a major charismatic Christian ministry headquartered in Accra.

Action Chapel International describes him as the founder and father of the Charismatic Movement in Ghana and says the ministry has hundreds of branches and affiliate churches across Africa, Europe and North America. Action Chapel International

He is also widely recognised for his emphasis on prayer, spiritual warfare, prophetic ministry and Christian leadership. Ghana News Agency has previously reported his sermons and teachings on spiritual development, prayer and the Christian faith. Ghana News Agency

A Testimony From A 2024 Church Service

Although the claim is currently resurfacing as though it were a new revelation, available reports indicate that the specific Heaven testimony dates back to a church service and went viral in early 2024.

GhPage reported on February 1, 2024 that a video of Duncan-Williams recounting the experience was circulating on social media. YEN.com.gh similarly reported that the Archbishop had described being taken to Heaven for 105 minutes and seeing an angel and other extraordinary sights. YEN.com.gh

Faith, Testimony And Verification

The Archbishop’s account remains a personal religious testimony. While the video and reports establish that he made the claim, they do not independently establish the supernatural experience itself as an objectively verifiable event.

That distinction has become central to the renewed online debate, with social media users discussing whether such spiritual experiences should be understood strictly through faith or subjected to questions of evidence and verification.

For now, the extraordinary claim continues to attract attention because of the stature of the preacher making it and the vivid details contained in his account.

GhanaMedia.net will continue to distinguish between verified statements, historical reports and claims based on personal spiritual experiences as the discussion develops.
