VITO S-Class Services Ltd. has unveiled an Artificial Intelligence-powered vehicle inspection platform aimed at transforming how vehicle inspections are conducted in Ghana.
The innovation was officially announced during the commissioning of the new Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA) Ultra Center at Dome in the Greater Accra Region on Thursday, July 23, 2026.
Speaking at the event, Chief Executive Officer of VITO S-Class Services Ltd., Mrs Jacqueline Oppong Mensah, described technology as the driving force behind the company’s vision to improve service delivery, strengthen regulatory compliance and enhance road safety across the country.
At the centre of the company’s digital transformation strategy is the Vehicle Inspection Management System (VIMS), an intelligent platform that digitally manages the complete vehicle inspection process—from vehicle registration and testing through to certificate issuance.
According to Mrs Oppong Mensah, the platform has been designed to improve efficiency, eliminate unnecessary delays and increase transparency throughout the inspection process while providing a smoother experience for customers and staff.
The system also incorporates an AI Voice Assistant capable of guiding staff, assisting customers and providing instant access to relevant vehicle inspection information in real time.
“We believe the future of vehicle inspection will be driven by technology and powered by Artificial Intelligence,” Mrs Oppong Mensah stated.
She explained that VITO S-Class is committed to remaining at the forefront of technological innovation while contributing to the future development of Ghana’s vehicle inspection industry.
“For us, technology is not an end in itself. It is a tool for improving service delivery, strengthening regulatory compliance and, ultimately, making our roads safer,” she added.
The company reaffirmed its commitment to continuous investment in technology, staff development and quality assurance systems while deepening its strategic partnership with the DVLA.
Mrs Oppong Mensah said every professionally inspected vehicle contributes to safer roads and stronger public confidence in Ghana’s transport system.
DVLA Chief Executive Mr Julius Neequaye Kotey noted that investments in physical infrastructure must be matched by digital innovation to improve customer experience and road safety outcomes.
The commissioning of the Dome Ultra Center further strengthens collaboration between the DVLA and VITO S-Class Services Ltd., combining expanded public access to licensing services with modern, technology-driven vehicle inspection solutions.
The Dome facility forms part of the DVLA’s nationwide expansion programme, which has delivered 23 new offices over the past one-and-a-half years to decentralise services, reduce congestion at existing centres and improve convenience for motorists across Ghana.
