A 35-year-old mason, identified as Charles Sedoh, has been sentenced to 35 years in prison with hard labour after being found guilty of defiling his two biological daughters.
The sentence was handed down by the Domestic Violence and Victim Support Unit (DOVVSU) Court at the Ghana Police Headquarters in Accra, according to the information supplied to GhanaMedia.net.
The court, presided over by Her Honour Annette Sophia Essel, imposed the sentence after the prosecution, led by Chief Inspector Opoku Aniagyei, urged the court to issue a deterrent punishment.
