Speaking after the game, Schäfer emphasized that Ghana’s success should not only rely on Europe-based stars but also on the strength of local players.

“We have many top players playing in Europe, but our goalkeeper is based here and was fantastic. I want to visit the clubs and use him as a role model,” he said.

The veteran coach stressed that every footballer, whether abroad or in Ghana, has an equal chance of representing the Black Stars. “It’s great motivation for everyone. I’ll be watching the games too,” he added.

Schäfer further highlighted Ghana’s reputation as a breeding ground for football talent, noting that most African players excelling in Europe hail from the country. He called on Ghanaians to rally together to make the nation the heartbeat of African football once again.
